Since this was my first time to a luau, I will have memories to last a lifetime. It’s my 30th wedding anniversary and it made it special.

It was a fun evening. Great music, dancing, fashion and food! Overall we had a great time! Having the waves crash in the background was epic.

The food wasn’t that great, it was marginally just good, we were scraping the bottom of the pan to serve items, they couldn’t catch up. There were a couple hundred people there serving and talking over the food that was uncovered and unprotected especially in this environment. There should have been servers and a plexiglass barrier to keep things sanitary if not protected. Handling the same utensils as a hundred people before me, then eating with my same hands (thank goodness we are in the habit of carrying sanitizer!) I’m not a paranoid germ freak, but I have common sense. If I could get a refund, I’d ask for it. Disappointed when considering the fee I paid, we didn’t drink enough alcohol and the food wasn’t worth it. I’m tall so I could see the show, my fiancé…she was almost having to stand up to see anything. Very sad experience. Wouldn’t do it again considering it was advertised as “the best luau on the island” I’ve been to luau’s on Maui that we’re awesome 5 out of 5 stars. This was half of a half star. :(
