A 2 hour sail around Narragansett Bay passed many iconic sights including New York Yacht Club, Ida Lewis Light, Fort Adams, Eisenhower House, Hammersmith Farm, Castle Hill, Rose Island Lighthouse, and under the Newport Bridge. You'll sail aboard our illustrious 12 Meter class America's Cup yacht. Two-time America’s Cup winner in '67 and '70 Intrepid, the 1962 America’s Cup winner Weatherly, 1964 contender American Eagle, 1970 contender Heritage, and the vintage beauties 1937 Gleam and Onawa of 1928. Despite the rain it was a lot of fun. Heeling was was a high point during the turns. Note there is not a lot of places to sit that are out of the way of the lines and if a family is traveling on the trip expect them to commandeer the only comfortable spots on boat leaving you to roll around on the bow.

We were a group of 10 older and younger adults and this was an ideal activity to keep everyone entertained. Did some leisurely touring of the coastline and bay and also some exciting, semi-hard sailing, heeled over at about 45 degrees. Captain Shivani is a real pro, very knowledgeable and interesting / interested, the crew was very nice and helpful, and the 3 hours went by fast.

Great experience! It was a beautiful day and not too many people on the boat like other sailing trips. Very cool being on an America’s Cup boat.
