To start, the experience began on time, that is important to me. The tour guide, Joe, was very informative. He would describe areas as we drove by, and gave insight to Amish culture. The dairy farm was a new experience for me. I had never seen milkers powered by vacuum lines. The farm family, although busy, was very kind in answering questions. The stop at the harness shop was quite nice. The highlight was the time spent at the home of the Amish couple; I cannot remember their name. I could have spent several hours there learning more about their life, customs, and faith.
Take all the pictures of the farms and equipment that you would like, but respect the people's wishes and do not take facial photos.
This was neither a waste of time nor money. Definitely worthwhile
