Aloha, welina mai, ‘ano ‘ai. Greetings, and welcome, from Hawai’i! Located on the famous North Shore beachfront of O’ahu, North Shore Stables is a locally-owned gem nestled in the quiet, countryside of Waialua.
As locals, we will greet you like ohana (family) as you drive your own 2022 Kawasaki All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) through 80 acres of beachfront farm lands, onto our signature ATV track, and directly help to restore Hawaiiʻs shoreline with a variety of 49 native Hawaiian shoreline plants that prevent erosion. Learn the 1,000 year history of Kapukapuakea and its spiritual and physical connection to Taputapuatea, a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO.

This is the only tour on O’ahu that allows you to drive your own 4-wheel ATV! This is NOT a UTV which has a steering wheel and one driver with passengers.

Guests choose an indigenous shoreline plant, & personally plant it in the only restored shoreline in Hawaii. A healthy shoreline prevents erosion & builds sand dunes.

Please check in online to maximize riding time and arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled departure.
Tours will leave promptly at scheduled reservation time. Early arrival is necessary to get fitted with helmets, and partake in safety demonstration before the ride.
CLOSED TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS
The track is dusty & muddy, please wear clothes your don't mind getting dirty!

The North Shore Stables crew were super friendly and made our experience x10 better. Had an absolute blast riding around on dirt track they have built and then the best part is riding along the ocean front! Make sure to wear older clothes that you don’t mind getting abit dusty, it’s well worth it!!

Fun time on the ATV. The ATV need to be properly maintained. The first one I was using would only go slow the second one had the rear brake caliper fall off when I was riding it and another member of my part had there's start to overheat. FYI there were only 3 of us. In addition there was only one larger ATV available so I had to ride the medium one which was much to small for me.

Aloha John, I'm sorry to hear that your experience was tainted by mechanical issues. Since you last visited us, we have hired more staff to ensure proper maintenance of our vehicles, and we have added much more ATVs to our fleet! The tour was good. We were drenched in mud but we had a great time. The staff were friendly. However, my issue is with Viatour because we had issues with our voucher as we were a group of 6. They took full $600 from us but sent only one voucher for 3 people to North Shore Stables. Also, they don’t include that the ATV ride itself is only 30 minutes. So the fact that they’re selling this tour as 1 hour is misleading and fraudulent. Please be clear and direct in your summary. Also this is really not an ocean view because you stop by the ocean only once. The only reason why I gave 3 stars is because of the friendly employees at the location.

Our ATV experience includes passage through a working farm, a stroll along the oceanfront including a photo opportunity, and spends the rest of the time exploring our ATV track. We're glad to hear that at least this part was fun for you! It seems that you had experienced our ATV ride operation's infancy stage, and we have since then developed it further.
