Took this tour the day after arriving in Austin. We chose the 10am tour due to the heat and it was a good choice. Not cool but not like the afternoon temps. Caleb our guide contacted us early and confirmed all the details. This tour was a great way to familiarize with the Austin downtown and SoCo areas. Caleb pointed out alot of detail beyond the murals. We got some great photos of the fantastic art around the city. We got a tad sunburned after the trip. We had a couple opportunities to buy a drink/bathroom break near murals along the route. The negative was the hotel we chose to meet (we were in a SoCo Airbnb and chose a hotel near by) made the route awkward for the guide. It apparently created extra time to get to the starting area which in turn made the tour longer. This longer tour created a discussion of having to pay extra ($2 per added minute) or cut the tour off. We couldn't get a clear concept of what murals we were gonna miss out on. We opted to continue which was another 30 minutes. It got us 2 or 3 more murals and some added sites. Probably worth it. The Viator/Trip Advisor site for booking traps you into a fixed list of pick up spots.
