Fantastic tour - very informative guide and even though I had been to the Badlands years past, this was so much better also enjoyed the lunch in the park. Sally and Katie
Our tour guide Dale was very nice and did a good job with driving and information. The Badlands is a must see. They were incredible. Wall Drug is just a tourist trap. They do have good ice cream and donuts. Other than saying I was there, it made very little impression on me, although they did have cheap souvenirs from all the main South Dakota tourism sights. Minuteman Missile was interesting, however please note you are not going to the silo, just stopping at the Visitor's Center. Lastly, the air conditioning in the vehicle was either not working or very poor. It was 105 degrees when we went on this tour. I see this as a comment in past reviews, so be very wary before booking this tour on a hot day. The roof is also plexiglass, which magnafies the heat.
Although we booked this tour 4 months in advance, we were seated in an old Ford van where the doors would not close correctly and the air conditioning did not go to the back seat. And it was in the 90s that day. The scenery was wonderful, the lunch was good, the driver was very nice, but could have provided more narration. Since we were in the van for a long period of time, it would have been nice to have air conditioning!!!!
