I caught the 1st stop in the morning at L'Enfant with difficulty finding where the bus and ticket kiosk were located, not realizing the bus leaves from an upper parking area. There is staff with mobile receipt machine only. Not all stops have signage for Big Bus-One bus went right by me without stopping to pick me up. You can't talk to the drivers yet their pre-recording push tips for drivers. These tours are NOT guide driven but pre recorded messages using ear buds they provide which don't stay in your ears. Lots of traffic so I felt we were stopped at lights more than riding. You are told Do NOT lose your ticket but they barely acknowledged my showing them their printed ticket to hop on. Did not see staff at each stop. Also, they do NOT provide maps as their site advises. They encourage to use their app. I used a ton of battery tracking the bus location and reviewing where we were on the route. I also had difficulty using the phone in sun filled top deck. The recordings tell you the stop info only after the bus is stopped for a time which I noted some passengers rose to get off but the driver began driving again. I would have rented the electric scooters instead. That way you are on your own schedule. Also the buses run to 5pm, limiting use for dinner transportation, which solicits night tix. I've done on/off in other larger cities. I did not enjoy this one.

This was a post-covid decision. We realize that the service you received was not up to your standards. We will take these items into consideration. Do not waste your money on this company! We purchased combo tickets for the day, that included night tour. At our check in the bus driver wasn’t very friendly, actually looked pretty annoyed. During the day we did one full loop on the red line. We chose not to hop off the bus, because we noticed that they were people waiting at the bus stops, for whom there was no seating and they were left to wait for next bus, which could be easily be full too! We were told that the night tour starts at 7pm. We were at the bus stop at 6:45pm just to see extremely long line of people waiting. When we showed our tickets to the employee for check in we were told that if we want to take the tour we must be seated inside, because all seats on the deck are already reserved. We asked if we can use our tickets on the next day, but they don’t offer it every night. So we asked for refund and we were told, that because we purchased the tickets on their website we should call the office and ask for refund. Of course at 7pm office was closed. So we decided to take the tour anyway. What a mistake! It turned out that their is no AC on the first floor of the bus and windows can’t be open! We were all in sweat in no time! On top of this there was stupid emergency sign on my window that interrupted the view further! You will hear exactly the same information during the night tour as the day one. Overall not worth it! I will not recommend this company and especially the night tour to anyone!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. On the day you traveled, we were running a 15-minute schedule. The day tour provides an opportunity to hop on and hop off and be picked up at those 15-to 20-minute intervals. We are sorry you did not get to experience the full benefit of the service. While some aspects of the day and night tour are the same, the Night Tour takes you on a different experience in other parts of the city and ends back with the monuments at night. Since it is pre-recorded you will have some aspects of the tour that are familiar. Thanks again for the review.

Although it mentions on the website that the White House is one of the points of interest we would see on the bus route, we did not see it. As the bus was passing by, the tour guide said that we could see the "south lawn" of the White House; however, we did not see it. I am not sure if that was because the ride by was quick and the driver did not slow down. Otherwise, it was amazing way to sightsee in Washington DC.
