Terrible please don’t give your hard-earned money to this terrible organization. I booked the service online however did not receive an electronic ticket. There was no phone number to call and, when I tried the chat service there was no response for over an hour. I headed down into L’Enfant plaza, the first stop and it took them half an hour to find my booking during which time several buses passed.
When I finally got on one of the buses with my wife and son it was 90° with no air-conditioning and it was impossible to see out of the windows as the bus trundled around the city. The driver made no effort to explain they were headphones at the front of the bus so for a while we were surprised that there was no commentary. Heading down we noticed there was a box of headphones and I retrieved three. We plugged them in and again we were not told that we had to tune to channel 2 so it took us a little longer before we could start to hear the pre-recorded rather grainy and monotonous audio.
Unfortunately the bus was completely packed, clearly overbooked, and it was all in all a terrible experience. We got off at the Lincoln Memorial and to make matters worse the next bus was delayed with hordes of people waiting ages them unable to board - it appeared that there was a reduced service and this was not made clear.
Having paid over $130 for such an appalling service. I was most disappointed. I wonder what has happened to all the human audio guides that they used to have on the services that once made the experience a pleasure. Please, please, please do not hand over your hard earned money to these crooks. Alex Payne, CEO, please take note.

We apologize for your experience. It is important for guests to provide accurate info when booking tickets. Once we were alerted regarding your tickets we provided them to you at the stop within 10 minutes although you booked through a third party. We went back in and traced your booking and found the email address had a filter. With these, we have no way of penetrating the firewall and at the best, the email will go to your junk mail folder.
We are an open-top company. Our services are best viewed from the top of our 2 story buses. There is more seating up top than below. Again sorry for your experience. Please try us again when conditions are more favorable for you.
