My husband and I loved this tour with Clay, who is incredibly knowledgeable, not just about the usual things that relate to Birmingham such as 16th Avenue Baptist church where 4 little girls were murdered while they were attending Sunday school, but kept us informed about of history that is not usually taught and known. He explained with good illustrations and a sense of humor about areas of the city that were special to the civil rights fight. We went to sections that no one else goes but it was as if we were there with the spirits of the ones who fought so hard for equal rights. This is one tour you will not want to miss. There was not a lot of walking, either, so anyone of any age can do this trip. I would have like to take several other tours he offered but we were on limited time. We just might have to come back!
