was hesitant to go out by myself, so I was thrilled to find Mike's Coastal Expeditions This was my first time kayaking for many years, and also the first time in Florida’s watersso that I could go out with a guide. Mike was very accommodating in getting me scheduled for my tour. It was a picture perfect day and I had a Antonio as my tour guide. Luckily, I was the only one scheduled for that time slot, so I had a private tour. Antonio did a great job pointing out local wildlife and explaining about the natural habitat. He even scored by finding a welk buried in the water. The water was beautiful and clear and we also got to go through the tunnel of mangroves. I feel confident that I could go out kayaking myself now, and I am so glad that I chose this company for my first time out. I definitely recommend calling them for a guided tour or for renting kayaks. They were both very friendly, personable and professional!

We had the pleasure of taking a kayaking tour with Antonio, who was very informative and personable. We loved making our way through the sometimes narrow mangroves and making stops along the way to observe wildlife and collect seashells. Thanks to Mike for personally greeting all of the kayakers and inquiring where we were from. We will definitely be back when we are back in the area! It was a perfect excursion!

Great experience from ease of booking, timely confirmation, informative text from Mike, and simple submission of e-form/waiver—all done on my phone! Excellent value. The kayaks are the BEST and most COMFORTABLE I’ve ever used. Seat is padded, raised from kayak floor just enough to stay drier. Adjustable foot rests. We were lucky to have friendly & knowledgeable Buzz (and his little dog, JJ) show us the wildlife. He took pics of us (kayaking & shelling) and shared after, so we weren’t distracted from our experience. (Bottled water and shelling bag provided.) My phone stayed in the dry bag. Calm waters, easy paddling for us. Keep in mind: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses. Traffic to site was slow/congested - we planned to arrive 10-15 min early but were right on time for our 10:45am departure.
