I enjoyed the food, but was disappointed that we only went into one restaurant and sat down. Most of our food came from the food court of the Boston Public Market. We did pickup pizza from a restaurant, then walked for a bit before we ate it and it was cold (not good). I feel for the price of this tour, I would not recommend it.

The intention behind certain stops, like the one at the North End, is to allow our guests to immerse themselves fully in the local atmosphere. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Other food tours we have done were well organized and restaurants were expecting us which was not the case with this tour. There were 3 tasting all inside the Boston Public Market where we had to secure the table and benches for our group because nothing was reserved. The Union Oyster House did a great job for our group like we expected from all of our tasting. The Lemoncellos were eaten on the street corner because this location was so small we couldn’t go inside. Regina’s Pizza couldn’t accommodate us so our guide got the pizzas while again we waited on the street corner. We ate the pizza at a table or bench in a park a couple blocks away. Our last tasting which was supposed to be cannoli and martini again they were too busy so our group waited out on the sidewalk while our guide went inside got the cannoli. We finished our tour eating our cannoli in a park a couple blocks away. This is by no means what we expected. The best part of this tour was interacting with the 10 other people in our group.

The history of the North End and some of the restaurants was very informative. We sampled a variety of food that was top notch. Our good was personable and attentive to the group.
