Most importantly, Joe, our guide, was awesome, professional, and a great guy. The Mercedes was clean and comfortable.
Now to the tour... I'd label the first 45 minutes "The Branson Hotel". There you were given the choice of a drink and had a cupcake waiting for you. It was made known to us that the "Cost" of this was not paid for by our ticket. Still I will review that the hot chocolate and coffee were ok, while the cupcake was underwhelming. To me it was dry, and just not impressive. Also, expect to tip the server for taking your drink order and then cleaning up when you leave ($5 seemed to be the average tip).
We did a small detour to see Hollister, and learning about their history was pretty cool.
The next stop was to see The Shepherd of the Hills lights. Unfortunately, we seemed to go on the busiest night of the year thus far. SO it was very slow moving, with a lot of stop and go. Nothing VIP could do about this obviously. Between that and the actual displays being underwhelming I nodded off halfway through.
Last stop was the Gift of Lights. We enjoyed this one much more, even though it also was crowded.
Overall, VIP tours in itself and Joe were great. His commentary and expertise on the area were interesting and informational. Personally, I would have excluded the Shepherd of the Hills and done the Promised Land Zoo lights instead.
Would I do the Christmas light tour again? no.
But would I do the Food or Explore Branson Tour through VIP tours? Absolutely!

Thank you for the Honest Review. :-) In regards to the cupcakes that night, I agree with you. They were kind of dry that night. I found out later that the lady that makes them for us was going to be out of town for a few days, so she made enough for us, based on our estimated counts. So this particular evening the cupcakes were a couple days old. Though they were kept in the fridge and the topping added that evening, they were still not up to par. The drive thru display at Shepherd of the Hills was so much better this year than last (that's why we didn't include it last year), and we believe it will be even better next year. I think you would have enjoyed it much more if we hadn't been moving soooo sloooow!!! Wow, it truly was the busiest night of the year for traffic in the displays! I will look forward to having you take the Wine and Dinner Tour with us in 2019. Happy New Year and Thank You again! Joe Gunnels, Owner
