We originally signed up at 5:30 am THE DAY OF our adventure, for 4 people for The Numbers half-day expedition. I was surprised we were able to make reservations day of, but there seemed to be no problem fitting us in seamlessly. We arrived at 8am, per instruction, for the morning ride (they also have afternoon trips). We were warmly greeted before even getting to the front door! Parking was plentiful and it seems like whoever is managing this shin-dig is experienced because everything flowed smoothly. We left on time (rare when coordinating random groups of people into an event). Unfortunately, the day we went (July 14) the water was too low to run The Numbers expedition but they offered us a "deluxe" version of the Brown Canyon expedition which was departing at the same time so no big deal for us. It's a quick bus ride over to the drop off location where a witty river guide will cover necessaries for an activity such as white water rafting. My boyfriend and I, and his parents, were in a raft with another pleasant couple and our guide was Harrison. As you would expect, all of the guides have their own fun-loving personalities, but if I were to go back I would request Harrison again. He was super knowledgable regarding the history of Brown Canyon and pointed out cool points of interest along the river. He was pleasant, not overly talkative nor annoyingly motivated. He was very respectable and an all around genuine pleasure to have as a guide. Even thought the water wasn't super high when we went it was still a great time and I highly recommend!
