We were staying in Idaho Springs but actually made the trip down to Buena Vista seeking an uncrowded stretch of river away from busy roads. Browns Canyon was perfect. My kids and I enjoyed the fantastic scenery and the river was running at 2020 cfm, so the level 3 rapids were exciting. My husband and oldest son went on The Numbers when it was running 4 and 5 rapids, and they too had a great trip, including stopping to swim through an underwater tunnel under a boulder. Our guides had many years of experience (not just kids with summer jobs), we were not stuck in a huge group (just two rafts - awesome!), and ME was even a bit less money - really couldn't have been happier and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to the experienced looking for expert runs and for first time families who want to be in reliable hands. I do recommend getting the wetsuits (which were pleasantly not smelly like with some other outfitters) as the water is cold and keeping warm makes the whole experience much more enjoyable. The splashes will go completely over the entire raft (which is part of the fun), so be insulated and enjoy the ride!

We had a fantastic morning doing the Brown's Canyon 1/2 day raft trip with our 9 and 12 year old kids, their first time whitewater rafting. There were enough rapids to make it fun for all of us without the mom in me being too paranoid that the youngest was going to fall out of the raft. Adam and Brendan were great guides, the scenery was awesome, and I was disappointed when it was over, next time I will book a full day trip!

We had a large group, ranging from 10 yrs old - 60 yrs old, and we all had a blast! The guides were friendly, funny, helpful & informative. We were split among 4 rafts, and equally had the same wonderful experience. The river was perfect, and all the rapids were great (exciting, but never difficult). Would highly recommend!
