We were the "first" kayakers on the lake with a launch time around 9:30. Our guide from Saguaro Lake Ranch was friendly and provided tips for where to find some nice paddles and when the lake would start becoming busy on a Friday. We saw Bald Eagle. Heron, and a few "Snow Birds" but did not see any sheep. The scenery was well worth the paddle, as it is a very unique way to experience the beauty of the Superstition Mountains.
Previous experience with kayaking is not needed, but would be helpful.
I would suggest paddlers bring sun screen and water.
