We loved the half-day tour. Travis was super friendly and a pleasure to spend the afternoon with. We saw Canyonlands in a manner we couldn't have without the 4-wheel drive. My complaint lies with Viator, NOT the company who took us into Canyonlands. I called Viator to change the reservation to 8:00 a.m. The operator said that it wasn't available. When I asked the name of the company to get questions answered that the operator couldn't answer, suddenly there was an 8:00 a.m. opening. I had my doubts. I went to the company upon arrival in Moab and, sure enough, they had received no booking change. We took the 1:00 tour. It was 107, but the vehicle had AC. Of course, it's not frigid cold because you're driving slowly and looking around. I have zero complaints and only praise for NavTec. They answered all of my questions when I checked in with them, which Viator couldn't do. I would not use Viator again. I highly recommend NavTec, however.

We did the afternoon tour and Mike was our guide. He was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and entertaining. He covered everything from the history of petroglyphs, geology, desert ecology to movie history and local history. The views were amazing and you get to see parts of Canyonlands you might not otherwise get to. And Mike makes great lemonade! 👍

Our tour guide was David. He wasted no time getting us on the road. Throughout the tour he shared a ton of his knowledge on the area and history of the park. He was funny, talkative and entertaining. He also shared a lot of history of the park, which was really interesting. The trip itself takes you off road to some cool areas that are more off the beaten path. If you get car sick this one is not for you, as you go on some pretty bumpy roads and are up pretty high during some points of the excursions. We did stop periodically to catch some great views and take pictures. There is no hiking on this trip and you need to pack your own drinks/snacks. The park is so big that we really only toured the Island in the Sky area. This was a nice way to see a lot of this beautiful national park. We did go back to it the next day to hike and enjoyed it even more.
