The guides were amazing! We had Derek for the Aerial Park. This adventure was our favorite, our kids watch Ninja Warrior and this course resembled the show. Derek was wonderful and very patient with active boy's excitement! We did the zip line next had guides Josh and Brook. Both very knowledgable and fun. Had a few newbies and they made them feel very confident and safe!

Guides were very good - great sense of humor and really good at putting complete novices at ease about getting on wires strung high over canyons. I was a little nervous on the first line but once I got the 'hang' of it I was completely taken - it was exhilarating traveling over the canyon floor with nothing but gravity and a wire taking you on your journey. We began by zipping over 3 "beginner lines", one of them was a short hike to reach but the hike was easy in my opinion. The last 3 lines were drummed up to be more of a challenge (using humorous anecdotes to imply that they were really going to scare you) but they turned out to be just a little longer or that the distance between the wire and the canyon floor was significantly greater. I was told that the last line was going to be the fastest, but to be honest I was hoping it was going to be MUCH faster! If you're reading this thinking that I love danger or that I'm some kind of expert, I am not. I sit at a desk all day and I really appreciated this experience! My kids stayed for the aerial park which consists of wires strung over obstacles and other challenges - there are videos of this on YouTube. I can't rate that experience because I didn't participate in that portion. The only negatives I have for this experience were the office facilities. There is no air conditioning at the main office and there is no running water - portable toilets were provided at the main office. I would expect portables at the Zipline area but the owner of this area should contract with the county to improve the facilities if they want to improve their brand. I am not saying you shouldn't go because they don't have air or running water; however I am saying that I can't rate this as a 5 out of 5 because of that.

I recommend Captain Zipline, a bit further than expected from Canon City though. our tours guides, harmony was a hoot and Owen was so gracious about keeping my phone in his zipped pocket during our zip line course. There was a little hiking which was a bonus, hiking and ziplining all in one. Thank you for making this experience grand.
