Came here in early July with my 9-year-old daughter. We did the zipline in the morning and the ropes/climbing courses in the afternoon and had a great time! Our zipline guides, Sherry, Harmony & Lynn, were clearly concerned with safety and laying down clear rules and guidelines, but were also friendly and fun. Because I felt we were safe, I was able to relax and enjoy it as much as my daughter. The guides help the younger kids get started on the zipline and provide guidance for how they can adapt their holds as they go across. They always have one guide at each end, so all zippers are stopped and helped down from the line as needed at the end of each line. I've ziplined before, but the views on the six lines at Captain Zipline are unique and incredible!
Captain Zipline held an open house for the ropes/climbing course that afternoon, so we returned for it. It's situated in a canyon, so it's a lovely setting. My daughter, sister, and I tackled 2 beginner routes and one intermediate route. Each route has varied and interesting features, which is different from the other similar courses I've done, which tend to repeat. This course requires the users to use a system for fastening and unfastening clips to each crossing, so you always have at least one part of your harness fastened on at any given time. It can be labor-intensive, but it's also very safe and my daughter was old enough to clip on/off at each point by herself (younger kids may need help at each stop to do this).
All-in-all, we had a blast that day and will be back when we visit the region again!
