We did both the zipline and ropes course with Captain Zipline. We really enjoyed the ropes course, but there were way too many people. We had 20 people in our group and that took away from our time on the course. The guides did a good job managing it, but it wasn't their fault that so many people were scheduled. Each person has to do a practice course, so it took quite a bit of time away from the time on the actual ropes course since there is only one practice course. I'm sure we could have gotten in one more course if the training hadn't taken so long due to the number of people. My suggestion would be to limit the # of people accepted for each time slot. The other thing that I found very questionable was the push to review them on tripadvisor. On the ride back, the guide spent most of the time talking about how important it was for us to review them on tripadvisor and give them a 5. He actually offered a $5 credit to each person who would do a 5 star evaluation when we returned. Given this push, it's interesting to see how many reviews for Captain Zipline have only ever done 1 or 2 reviews. I think that's a big problem for tripadvisor. I only look at reviews from people who've written 50 plus reviews. Otherwise, it could be someone's marketing department setting up fake accounts or people being incentivized like we were here. As far as the zipline, I think the zips were fine but not too daring if that's what you're looking for. Again, we had 17 people in our group which I think is way too many. Picture waiting for 16 other people to go over the zip each time. The guides did a good job despite the number of people, but there was a lot of waiting. The zips weren't very long, so the wait time relative to the zips was too much. Also, our last 2 zips were done while it was thundering, lightening and raining. The other group which started right after us were waiting in the cabin since there was lightening. I'm not sure why it was okay for us to do it but not them. I was worried about the safety of doing that, especially considering our kids were with us. I would give the attraction a 4 if it wasn't for what I consider a greater desire to make as much money as possible versus being concerned about the customer's experience. Having fewer people in each group and not pushing the tripadvisor reviews (which they talked about on our way back from the ziplining also) would help solve that issue.

Thanks for the review. We will get the guides on the same page with us on reviews, we usually leave that to the guests to do. They are good enough to be reviewed on their own merits as all our reviews will attest to.
We are sorry for the big trip, we had a group of 6 that had car trouble and missed the AM tour, so they only had one chance to go, so we added them to your trip. That could happen to anybody.
The lightning and rain sometimes causes delays, and the guides have apps on their phones to track it and we won't go if it is closer than 15 miles. Our guest's safety and comfort is most important to us, and we will use your detailed review to help make us better. We hope you understand what caused your large trip size...we aim to make everyone's adventure the best we can make it!
