My husband and I took my 11 year old nephew and 13 year old niece zip lining with Captain Zipline. Gage and Shavano were our guides and they were much fun and made everyone feel at ease. They were very accommodating and helpful arranging for my mother (who has a fractured foot and can't walk) in a place where she could watch a few of the ziplines. I would highly recommend this company.

My son Bryce and I take a yearly trip each year before he goes away to his dads in the summer. I am always looking for something cool and different to do. I called in advance weeks before the trip and Monty called me back right away from his cell in the evening. He gave me information about Captain Zipline, of course but also some great information as to what is around the town, etc. I always appreciate talking to someone local when I travel to a new city or town. My son and I did the aerial gym in the am and then an afternoon of ziplining with these guys and had a fantastic time. We loved Derek, Sara, Gage and really all of the guides that helped us. They made it even more fun to be there. I HIGHLY recommend checking these guys out, you are going to have a blast! Salida is also a very cool town, we will most definitely be back! Shana

We took our 9 year old and it was a total blast. We saw other families there "team building" and I can now totally see why - as its a great family adventure worth taking to make those memories. We had Hayden (Pole Vaulter) and Derrick (Skaterboy) and they provided family friendly entertainment the entire experience. The "hikes" between platforms are short but beautiful and the guides do a great job of putting in some pieces about the geology and history of the area. I'm not a "heights" person and I completely enjoyed myself and would recommend it - even to those who aren't fans of "high places". Hayden and Derrick do an EXCELLENT job of making sure the trip is very safe. I had absolutely no worries for my 9 year old who had the most amazing time. I cannot recommend it enough. We got the Zip and Dip (rafting and zip line) package through our rafting company (Raftmasters). Rafting was in Canon City and the drive to Captain Zipline says an hour but its more like 40-45 minutes along a very beautiful and scenic canyon and goes by FAST. Its absolutely worth the drive if you are visiting the Royal Gorge to make it to Captain Zipline as this is the ONLYZIPLINE that is done in a SCENIC LOST CANYON. Its not just a bunch of towers in a field like "other" zipline companies. People in Canon City and Salida both recommended it above all other zipline companies and we were not disappointed. It is ABSOLUTELY worth the drive. I wish we could have also done the aerial course so if you do this and its NOT part of a package (like rafting), then you should plan on doing the full day at Captain Zipline. Absolutely recommend for ages 8 and up. My smaller 9 year old had a blast. And my husband who has back "issues" had the best time as well. Truly all ages and abilities. And again, they take safety extremely seriously all while you have an amazing adventure. Guides work off tips so don't forget to bring a little cash to thank them when you have amazing time! Cross this one off the bucket list as there is no place better in all of CO!
