I’ve been on food tours in Paris and Florence, Italy, but have never been on a food tour in my own backyard. It’s worth it! Learning about all the different specialty eateries in Carlsbad was worth the price alone. I also loved that guide and owner, Cherimarie Poulos, shared her knowledge of Carlsbad’s history, from the early settlers to modern day restaurateurs.
There wasn’t a single spot on the nine-stop tour that wasn’t fantastic. As a Carlsbad resident, I always go to the same few restaurants, and thanks to Cheri, I’ve got nine new spots to check out. Whether you’re interested in artisanal chocolates, locally sourced wines, old school Italian joints, or hipster cafés, there’s a stop on this tour for you.
Wear your walking shoes and bring your camera - this three-hour tour involves light walking and lots of great photo opportunities.
