Gave away our seats to standby. With half our party already on the boat. They knew we were there had our tickets. It should be made very clear that that would happen if we were not there by a certain time. Which we were but they gave our seats away early. I was very disappointed. Better communication would be helpful

Hi Kathleen – we’re so sorry to hear you were stranded in Long Beach. When calling to make your boat reservations, we always instruct guests to arrive one hour prior to departure in order to check in and line up for boarding. We also indicate that seats are subject to cancellation if you do not arrive 15 minutes prior to departure. A boat reservation is much like an airline reservation. In order for our boats to depart on time, standby guests are offered seats when other passengers have not boarded by the cut off time. We still hope you’ll be able to visit Catalina Island in the future.

Seeing the Bison was a great experience. Snorkeling was also fun. The energy and atmosphere was amazing.

The staff were polite and courtious and willing to answer any questions. The fog did not delay the boat ride over. Quick and simple.
