An excellent morning from start to finish! Our tour guide, Chef Jacquie, was wonderful. Having grown up in the neighborhood, she provided an entertaining and comprehensive history of the Italian Market and we enjoyed a nice variety of tastings from local shops and restaurants. Starting at Anthony’s with coffee and delicious biscotti, we moved onto DiBruno’s for a fabulous cheese and nut pairing. The olive oil and vinegar tasting at Cardena’s was next on the list where we purchased a number of gifts to take home. We strolled through Charlie’s Produce stand on our way to watch pasta making Talluto’s window and tortilla making at San Roman’s. We enjoyed a slice of Santucci’s original square pizza for lunch and finished our tour with a fabulous cannoli from Isgro’s bakery.
