My parents and I have been on several food/historical tours in New York City, Charleston, and Raleigh. We found Kevin's tour very interesting as he explained what has happened to Manhattan over the 20th and 21st century. One example is his interest and knowledge of Robert Moses, a very significant figure in the transformation of Manhattan, whom he will undoubtably mention if you choose the West Village tour. We would absolutely recommend Kevin and New York Historical Tours to anyone.

This was our first visit to NYC and the very best thing recommended to us was New York Historical Tours. We did three tours and all were so interesting, they were over before we knew it. These are not boxed tours with guides reading from a script. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, knowledgable and his passion for the City was evident. These tours were definitely the highlight of our trip and we plan on doing the others on our next visit to NYC.

There is no question that this tour was the highlight of our visit to NYC, along with the Mid Manhattan Walking Tour we took with the same guide. Extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the City's history and social and economic evolution, our guide gave us a whole new view of Manhattan. Patiently responding to all our questions, he fed us a wealth of information wherever we went. Of importance to me was that our tour was very personal, so we had undivided attention. When we return to New York we will look for another of the walking tours.
