Our office did this tour to showcase our city to some out-of-town colleagues. I grew up in Richmond and have lived here for a long time, and found a lot of new restaurants. Our guide Lindsay was great- very laid back, but extremely knowledgeable about the area. We got a lot of history sprinkled in between tasty bites. Every place was amazing, but my favorite was getting to see the wood-fired bread oven at Sub Rosa and getting to chat with the head baker about how the process works.
Come hungry, and wear comfortable shoes! It was a typical early summer day in RVA (humid and a little toasty), but we were provided plenty of water, the pace was slow, and we had a chance to take a little break at Liberty Public House. So- all in all- extremely fun, very VERY tasty, and an interesting way to learn the history of the area and find new places to eat!

K., I'm always happy to hear about locals who discover something new with us! And I'm totally with you, seeing that oven at Sub Rosa is amazing!
