This company's marketing is very misleading and they should not be allowed to use the phrase "guaranteed dolphin sightings" in their advertising. We went out yesterday on an afternoon cruise. What we got: the opportunity to buy drinks and buy a photo of ourselves with a plastic "lei" round our necks (the tropical bit). We also got a tour of the shoreline and some celebrity houses along with a commentary that was meant to be amusing. It was a lovely day so it was not totally a waste of time. What we didn't get: dolphins! Just a few birds. We were offered to go again for free but we're here on holiday for a short time and there's lots of other things we'd like to do so we're not going back. I don't think I could stand to listen to that corny commentary again. If you are looking for a party type booze cruise around the bay then this is for you. They just cannot GUARANTEE dolphins!

Our guarantee means in the unlikely event the many wild dolphins in the area are not out to play, we invite you to return at a later date on us. This guarantee does not include a refund of any kind as your complimentary Dolphin Exploration Tour in the future never expires." We do not mean for this guarantee to be misleading, which is why we spell out its exact meaning on our website, and explain it in person if you happen to book your tickets at our booth in the marina. My friends and I travel to Clearwater Beach twice a year for a girls getaway. We have now gone on The Tropics boat tour at least 5 times in the last few years and we always have a blast because of the crew. Our last trip was February 9th. Captain Mark, Eric and Sam are awesome! They are very friendly and energetic keeping everyone with a drink in hand and entertained. We look forward to the next time we visit!
