Cosmos Mystery Area

The mystery house located within the Cosmos of the Black Hills was discovered in 1952 by two college students who were looking for the perfect place to build a summer cabin. Here, the laws of logic and physics seem to be turned upside down as you feel a slight unbalance in this crooked old cabin. Admission includes a 30 minute guided, interactive tour where you will be amazed as you see water run uphill, can stand on a wall, and see other incredible optical illusions. The tour consists of various demonstrations that are designed to boggle the mind. Located just minutes from Rapid City and Mount Rushmore, The Cosmos is sure to astonish and amaze the mind.

We weren't sure what to expect for this tourist attraction, but we were not disappointed! The tour guide was really good and the whole experience of gravity in and outside the cabin was fascinating. I'm still kind of in awe of the ball rolling upward...we were all very impressed and amazed! It does get hot in the cabin, so stay near the door if you need to step out! We were very happy with our visit!

i just had to see this place to make a believer out of me,to see if its true, i walk inside this building and could not stand up straight. i lean so forward,and did not fall down,you can lean either way. even water runs upward. every thing was a mystery was true and worth every penny to see.it just makes you laugh and feel good and a great place to take people for surprises.. omar
