Since I’m not a Texas native, but a lover of Tex/Mex cuisine,I was intrigued by the idea of going on a Dallas Food and Culture Walking Tour. We lucked out and went on a warm Saturday afternoon. Our tour guide Thomas was fantastic. He was funny, engaging and knowledgeable. He took our small group to four stops, each one unique and different. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly proprietor of Kokopelli Sweets and getting a little background on their yummy chipotle mango sorbet and sampled Mexican hot chocolate. After sampling the chili at YO Steakhouse, we enjoyed a fascinating tour of the historic restaurant and learned a lot about the early days of Texas. I will definitely be back to have the brisket pizza from Tutta’s. A truly tasty treat!
We were stuffed and happy at the end of the tour. I can’t wait until friends and family come into town as I will surely recommend this tour.
