We saw 5 Gray Whales, a ton of dolphins and some CA Sea Lions. The crew was great and the brownies afterward were excellent. Kids were very tired from Disneyland the day before and got a little sea sick. Wish we had slept better the night before but that was our bad. It was cold, so wear and hat and a jacket. The whales were mating and went right up beside our boat, it was so cool!

Hi, Thank you for your review. It sounds like you had a marvelous time on your recent safari with Capt. Dave’s, viewing stunning Gray Whales and playful wild dolphins up close. I’m so sorry that the kids felt sick – for anyone concerned about motion sickness, we always recommend the early morning trips when conditions are the calmest. We also have different remedies for sale at our check in area. It’s wonderful that you all still had a great time, and I’m glad you liked our crew and the delicious, complimentary brownies. I hope you can join us again soon!

It is so rare these days to have an experience that one walks away from with the feeling of absolute perfection. This was the one. The customer service from beginning to end was fabulous. Everything was so organized and smooth. From the sweet ladies working at check in to the crew on the boat who kept us all informed throughout. The people running this show were amazing. The entire experience was six star. We saw 6 grey whales, played with 12+ dolphins for over a half hour and visited the sea lions playing and sunning towards the end. It was one of the most moving experiences and worth far more than the money charged for the excursion. The boat was awesome and so comfortable. All of the staff on board were so accommodating and went the extra mile to make the trip wonderful for every passenger. Captain Dave catered to everyone and every age group on the boat, especially making the trip just as special for the little ones as he did for the adults. I didn't have little ones but was so impressed at how he made sure that the children had the involvement with the dolphins up close and personal. It was the most wonderful and moving day. Once the animals were spotted Captain Dave turned off the engine and and allowed the animals to dictate the encounter. I was so moved by all the animals we were able to see and interact with that I found my eyes becoming glassy with so much emotion from seeing all of this magic in the ocean. This trip was the absolute best part of our vacation. Oh and I don't want to forget the most awesome brownies that every passenger was given at the conclusion of the trip. They are made by Dave's wife and are to die for. The brownies were the perfect way to end the best excursion. An absolute must do for all. Thanks Captain Dave and staff for so many special family memories. We will never forget this trip.
