We were looking for a tour of the Arches Park area and the Sunset Tour conducted by Big Iron Tours seemed to fit the bill. I knew it was an off road experience but it also advertised scenic views. To be sure I called and talked to them and told them I was OK with the off road part but what I really wanted was to be able to photograph great scenery. I also told them I was not interested in a roller coaster ride. Unfortunately what I got was an hour of looking at a few petroglyphs and 3-1/2 hours of a very slow roller coaster ride. I took pictures of the petroglyphs and nothing else. I should have known better because the company shows massive all terrain vehicles on their website. Getting in and out of the vehicle was also a real pain because you had to undo a very aggravating safety harness & climb down a 5 ft ladder every time you exited the vehicle. The only reason I am not giving a 1 star rating is because Mike, our guide & driver, was so friendly and accommodating. Take it from me, if an off road tour where you climb up & down rocks at 90 degree angles is your thing, then you will enjoy what Big Iron Tours provides. Sadly it was not what I was looking for and we were never close to Arches Park. I would have rather toured Arches on my own instead of wasting the 4 hours I spent on this tour.
