In just 5-6 hours one can experience a great variety of attraction on this glorified road. View the north shore, surfers and waves. Visit Rainbow Eucalyptus trees and Bamboo thickets. Explore a native Hawaiian village and coastal tide pools. Walk amongst the rainforest's flora and fauna. Jump into a pool with a cascading waterfall (swimming optional). We booked a tour for the Road to Hana because I had some anxiety about the drive. Not only was our driver safe, Kea was also incredibly fun and knowledgeable and planned out a perfect day for us. We swam in a waterfall, played on black sand beaches, explored caves, and made unforgettable memories. I can’t recommend this company enough!

Our tour, driven and narrated by Yvonne, was nearly flawless. We arrived at the specified ride share, and Yvonne arrived right on time. We left in less than 10 minutes. She was friendly and engaging and asked us if there was anything along the way that we might be especially interested in seeing. In addition, she gave us the choice of if we wanted to see a specific site on the way going or returning. We stopped at a little roadside stand where she picked up some delicious banana bread and banana ice cream for our whole group and stopped, again, at another stand where we could purchase fresh fruit including coconut water complete with a fresh lime to squeeze into the shell and sip thru bamboo straws. There is ongoing road construction and many narrow sections of the road, which made for slow going. Fortunately the lush jungle and beautiful views of waterfalls and blue ocean and clouds, along with Yvonne's knowledge of the area, people, and plant life, etc., made the waits go fast. While Yvonne waited for us to explore points of interest, she strung seed bracelets for everyone in our party. Since the road is very narrow and winding, my wife was very appreciative of the opportunity to ride shotgun and for the supply of ginger candy that Yvonne brought for such purposes. Thank you Yvonne.

Why drive to Hana yourself when you can have a private tour and leave the driving to someone else. My wife and I booked the trip so we could relax and enjoy the sites. Our tour guide, Kea was excellent! Not only was he an experienced and safe driver, he was also an entertaining host with great stories and anecdotes. He has a broad knowledge of Maui and Hawai'is history. We went beyond Hana and hiked a few miles in the Bamboo Forest. We highly recomend this tour!
