I loved the Jeep tour. I wasn't old enough to drive the jeep myself, but had a great time riding shotgun and using the binoculars (they provide a pair in each jeep) to see the wildlife and scenery. It was a rainy day when we left the office but by the time we got to the highway it turned into a beautiful sunny day. My guide Jeff was very knowledgeable about the area and had a great sense of humor. He made the trip one to remember for a lifetime! They also provide snacks and water along the trip at the various scenic stops (much appreciated since it is about a 5 hour tour). I had a lot of fun going down a highway that rental car companies don't let you drive on for a good reason! It is a bumpy dirt and gravel road for most of the journey. That makes it fun terrain for the jeeps, and you get to see views of the Alaska range that you wouldn't otherwise. Do yourself a favor and go on the tour!

I had the opportunity to do this tour an evening in June and I really enjoyed it. The views on the Old Denali Highway are fantastic and the guide was entertaining and knowledgable. I found the Jeep super comfortable and awesome to ride in (and now I want one for myself). We saw some wildlife (moose, porcupine, red fox), and Denali peaked out of the clouds (just barely, but still) at one point during the tour.
