We did not really consider dog sledding until the hotel recommended it. And they said Rod's was the only place to consider. We took the 1 hour sledding journey and glad we did not do the 1/2 hour. It was a full hour and we did not even realize how long we were out there. We could pet the dogs and the musher described the entire trip about the mushing, dogs, races they had run, etc. We added dog sledding to our bucket list just so we could scratch it off. It was the highlight of our trip.
At the office the staff could not have been more helpful! Everyone cared about us. Warm clothing, boots, gloves were provided as part of the price. Rod is a Veteran and is proud of it. His wife was so sweet.
We WILL go again if we get to Alaska in winter.

I offer 30 minute or 1 hour rides, 2 hour hands on "I want to be a musher" adventure, and 4 hour aurora viewing by dog sled adventures. Thank you for the great 5 star review.
