We were excited about the dog sledding experience but left feeling very disappointed. Our guide, Timmy, seemed completely uninterested, he didn’t introduce the dogs, barely spoke unless asked, and even ignored some of my partner’s questions, which was awkward.
The photo time was poorly managed. While the groups ahead of us had plenty of time for photos, we barely got a chance. As soon as we took a few pictures, Timmy told us to stop and get back on the sled, even though we then sat around waiting for several minutes while the other groups finished.
Seeing other guides enthusiastically engaging with their groups made the contrast even worse. Timmy’s lack of effort left us feeling undervalued, and for the price, this was far from the memorable experience we hoped for. I hope the organizers improve training to ensure guests feel welcomed and enjoy their time.
