I have a couple of concerns about this booking. First of all, Viator gives the option to pay right away or wait until 2 days before the tour to pay. I picked the deferred payment option. I completed the booking on Monday, 1/1/23, for a 5-person paddle board/kayak tour on Sunday, 1/7/23, with payment due of $325 on Saturday, 1/6/23. I received confirmation of the booking on 1/1/23. On Thursday, 1/4/23, I got an email from Viator offering $25 off my first booking. I attempted to apply the coupon code through their website, but it wouldn't work. I called customer service and spoke with Jorry, who initially said the coupon didn't apply to me. However, when I read the details of the email to him, he agreed that the coupon should apply. He attempted to apply it and had to cancel my reservation and rebook it, which he did. I was very happy to save $25 off a $325 booking. I was charged $300 on 1/5/23, as per the arrangement. As per the contract, the tour can be cancelled with a full refund up to 24 hours before the tour, which would be 12:30 pm on Saturday, 1/6/23. I had no intention of cancelling. On Saturday, 1/6/23, at 3:15 pm, Joey from Three Brothers Tour called to say "we're not gonna be able to run this tour" and to give him a call back. I called immediately and he informed me that they couldn't run the tour out of Osprey, where we scheduled, and they could only run it out of Fort Meyers, an hour south of our location. There was no way we could make it down to Fort Meyers in enough time to make that tour since we had family members travelling to the area from over 2 hours away on Saturday morning. Joey gave no explaination for why they couldn't honor our reservation and assured me that I'd receive a 100% refund. I received a cancellation email after my conversation with Joey, but it listed the original booking confirmation number, which had already been cancelled by Jorry on 1/4/23. There is a clear and obvious lack of communication between the actual tour company and Viator and I have not been refunded my $300, which should have already been done at the time of this review.
