RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS EXPERIENCE!
Unless you want to be disrespected, harassed, and bullied and then have management make you feel even worse when you complain!!
I have been a Yelper for over 10 years now.. and VERY rarely have I ever given this amount of stars.. sad because outside of the disrespect.. it would have been a gem.
I purchased this through Groupon and up until we boarded the boat and set sail.. my experience was a positive one. Apparently, they have not taught certain members of their staff to not disrespect and ridicule their customers. My 9 month pregnant sister and my TWO YEAR OLD nephew were put through something that I don't wish on anyone.. apparently, Eddie doesn't understand how toddlers work.. and accused my sister of not having control over her child, and proceeded to take his shades off, kneel in my nephew's face (DURING COVID), and scream at him to behave!!!! And I quote, "If you cannot behave sir, you will have to leave the boat." TO A TWO YEAR OLD! My sister was livid and rightfully so! I had to calm her down and explain that we were three women and two children on a boat in the middle of the marina/ocean and we had to think twice about how we responded, even though I cannot write what I wanted to do at the time. When I finally calmed her down, she was holding my nephew on her hip and had no idea that she was breaking the rules with the side of where she was holding him, and Eddie proceeds to RUN over in both of our faces and screams, if you cannot follow the safety rules, you will be removed from the boat... how and where, Eddie? Thrown into the full body of water we were surrounded by? I asked him if he knew how to speak to people, especially babies, and he gives me more attitude.. it got so bad that I had to stand in the middle of my sister and nephew because he got so aggressive that I felt I had to protect them. Mind you, we are beyond embarrassed as this is happening in front of everyone within eye and ear shot.
When he leaves and we think it's over, he runs to the captain who further threatens us and says if patrons do not follow the rules, they will be arrested by the police upon exit!!!
Let me be clear, we did NOT purposely break any rules... we were not aware, nor told what rules were being broken until we were aggressively screamed at and disrespected. I was and continue to be shaken from this experience.
I decided to complain to the managers through a phone call later that week and was even further dismissed. The captain called back and after I explained what happened. He says in a very condescending tone, it is not our job to give you a good time, it is our job to enforce safety since you couldn't follow the rules. My mouth dropped! I see that disrespect comes from the top down.
Let me be clear, Mr. Captain... I would never allow anyone (including myself) to put anyone I love in harm's way. Any reasonable individual would know that how you approach anyone, especially a customer is half of the message. My advice is to take a class in social skills, manners, etiquette, respect, etc before you are allowed to get in front of the public again, and ensure that your staff members do the same. And remember, customers are always right... especially when they're actually right.
Will NEVER patronize this business or anything associated with it, ever again.

Yvonne,
I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your trip.
We spoke on the phone and I had thought the matter of your trip was closed and apparently it is not. As I had stated on the phone I will be discussing this with Eddie and reprimanding the way he spoke to you. However, since you would like to further pursue the matter, let us talk about exactly what I have reviewed on our cameras aboard the ship.
Your niece and nephew were informed upon boarding what the rules were for the boat as all children and parents are informed while boarding.
All rules are also explained by the captain three times throughout the trip. The only children who are directly addressed by the crew are children endangering themselves.
Review of the cameras shows your nephew not following the rules. The job of the crew is to keep individuals safe from harm. You may not agree with the crews tone, but your nephew was in danger of serious bodily injury. The captain and other crew aboard ship- not Eddie- agree with my assessment.
The job of the crew is safety first and our record reflects that. This is a duplicate review and my response has not changed, however you have added the age old comment of the customer is always right.
The United States Coast Guard, the Passenger Vessel Association and my insurance company have informed me that the customer is not always right.
Captain Jeff
