Our Sunset Cruise departs from Mission Bay in beautiful San Diego, CA. Our friendly and experienced crew provides you with sightings of beautiful whales & dolphins, and an educational experience where you can learn about these animals that visit the ocean near San Diego harbor. This is topped off with our beautiful San Diego sunset.

Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

We came upon a huge pod of common short-nosed dolphins, numbering somewhere in the vicinity of 200. They gravitated toward the boat almost immediately upon contact and put on a great show for us: jumping, breaching, and drafting in our wake. Just spectacular!

Great experience at a great price! Loved being out on the water for 3 hours, especially as the sun set. We spotted a whale, many dolphins swimming along the boat and jumping, sea birds and even a flying fish! There was plenty of free parking, check-in was a snap, on-board snacks, drinks and bathrooms were available. We’ll keep this on the list for our next visit to San Diego for sure!

Viator wasHORRIBLE…go straight to the provider (who anre wonderful) and not through this absolutely terrible website. TripAdvisor should be ashamed. They send us the wrong time to for the boat to leave and then DO NOT OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKE. Worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I finally figured out how to contact them a half hour later and they said it was too late for me to request a refund on THEIR MISTAKE. The San Diego Whale Watching co was great and tried to help us (noting Viator had done this before), but Viator was completely and utterly horrid. Do not use them. I never will again.
