Our Sunset Cruise departs from Mission Bay in beautiful San Diego, CA. Our friendly and experienced crew provides you with sightings of beautiful whales & dolphins, and an educational experience where you can learn about these animals that visit the ocean near San Diego harbor. This is topped off with our beautiful San Diego sunset.

Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

I can't really rate the dolphin and whale watching experience because sadly the weather was so rough we got out of the bay and into some swells that made it difficult for most of us on the boat to stand. The staff on the boat felt like it was becoming unsafe for passengers so we turned around. What I can say is I felt like the staff was helpful, courteous and caring about everyone on the ship and kept checking in with us to make sure we were all ok. The short amount of time the marine biology expert on board had to share information with us, made it seem like that part would be interesting and informative. Their policy of not refunding but only giving a re-ride raincheck is a real bummer if you are only in San Diego for work and have just a short period of free time. I was not able to use my free re-ride before I left. But the ticket is good indefinitely, so if I find myself back in San Diego I could give it another try...now, where did I put that ticket?!

Hi Patty. We are sorry you didn't get the exceptional experience you were looking for and that we like to provide. As you rightly put, your safety is our number one priority. Just so you know when you do come back to San Diego all you need is your reservation date / time and we can find your original reservation and rebook you should you loose your trip card. I hope that helps and we look forward to having you onboard a safe and excellent whale watching experience.

We went on a whale watching trip on Valentines Day. It was so wonderful!! It started with Gail at the ticket booth. She was so helpful on the phone and very nice to everyone. The staff on the Boat were very informative and gave us Many interesting face on the whales, seals and birds. We even stayed out longer so we could see more whales. It was such a great trip!!!

An unforgettable experience. We could see over 200 bottlenose dolphins and 2 beautiful humphrey whales. We also enjoyed the sunset. Wonderful.
