I had the opportunity to stay at a rennevated 2 bed room ar the Rio hotel for 6 days the first week of February. It started with a very bad start at a downtown hotel and when I called my niece staying athe Rio for help in getting myself and my daughter out of the downtown hotel, We both walked into the room at the Rio and we looked at each other saying "My God I think we've died and gone to Heaven". The room was beautiful, it was bright and welcoming. There was a full floor to cieling to floor window on one complete wall facing the south, which was into the mountains. They were beautiful and at night the window was full of the Las Vegas gorgeous lights. The room itself was spacious. It had 2 Queen beds, the sitting room had a beautiful couch which made into a queen bed and also had a chase lounge. Infront of the couch we had a 55 inch tv. The bathrooom had a large closet, a largespace with a marble counter top a sink and to large mirrors before entering the bathroom with another sink and mirror with a walk in shower with bottles of shampoo, coditioner, and body wash.
Besides there amenities the hotel offered valet parking with very kind and helpful attendents. This also included bellhops. The casino was bright and had many resturants that were reasonable priced with attendents who were friendly and helpful. the gambling area was also well lit, with numerus machines, the casino area was not smokey, people were friendly and not rowdy, Security was statoned by the elevators.
This was a beautiful hotel and casino just a short walk to the strip. I would deffinately at the Rio again and will recommend to anyone I know traveling to Las Vegas. It also appeared to be family friendly as I saw many children with their parents coming and going from the hotel.
