Even as long time Angelenos, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Sidewalk Food Tour of Downtown Los Angeles. Our guide, Michael, was extremely knowledgeable, humorous, and accommodating. At a nice pace, we walked through Downtown and had bites to eat at Pitchoun Bakery (French pastries), Horse Thief BBQ (brisket) , DTLA (grilled cheese sandwich) at the Grand Central Market, Spread (falafel), Guisados (chicken mole taco), and Bottega Louis (mango and pistachio macarons). All the bites to eat together made for a nice lunch. In addition, we walked through the Biltmore Hotel and the Bradbury Building where 500 Days of Summer was filmed. Along the way, Michael commented on the history of Los Angeles through the years and the different districts of Downtown. Unfortunately it happened to be 91 degrees on the day we did the tour, but Michael provided plenty of cold water at each of our stops, and there was opportunity to purchase drinks/cocktails at each stop also. Absolutely worth it!
