Greetings,
A few weeks ago while preparing a belated 30th wedding anniversary/vacation trip to the West Palm Beach, FL area, my wife made an online inquiry of fun things to do while vacationing there. One of the first things to pop-up was the West Palm Beach Food Tour. In that our son and his girl friend were going to drive down from Orlando to meet us for a day, she decided to book the tour for the four of us. Despite torrential rains that Saturday morning, I would like to report that we had an excellent experience on our first (of what hopefully will be many future) food tours. There were 12 people in our group that was led by Kristl Story. She proved to be an excellent tour guide who knows her city, restaurants, and bars very well, but did not attempt to drown us with every fact; rather she exhibited a very easy-going style and made the three hours that we spent together very enjoyable, despite the miserable weather. Regarding the weather, she came prepared with extra umbrellas, ponchos, and would delay the departure to the next venue if it was raining hard.
The tour itself provided a nice opportunity to sample various foods and if you opt for the premium package, the chance to try three signature cocktails! Each of the restaurants was very welcoming and explanations were offered as to how certain foods and drinks were prepared.
Over the course of the 3 hours, a band of strangers from various places came together for some laughs, stories, and good food and drink.
Ironically we ran into Kristl the next day at the resort we were staying where she was giving a short presentations of things to do in the area.
On our final day in the area, my wife and I re-visited Hullabaloo, one of the restaurants on the tour for a full lunch of the chicken meatballs and wonderful roasted Brussels sprouts. This time we also added the zucchini chips! – Yum!
We truly enjoyed this food tour and would encourage others to give it a try. So when you tire of the beach/pool or shopping, scene, give this tour some serious consideration – we all need to drink and eat!

You can't enjoy the beach or the pool on a rainy day, but you can enjoy our food tour! Thanks for pointing out that we do a good job of keeping our guests dry...coming prepared with umbrellas and ponchos, using the trolley is necessary or lingering longer in a restaurant while we wait for the storm to pass. Next time you visit, join us on our new Dixie Dining Corridor Food Tour...we go between restaurants in a Mercedes Sprinter van, so if Mother Nature doesn't cooperate, this tour is "weather-proof"! Most of our guests have never taken a food tour, and they frequently tell us, "we read the reviews to get a better understanding of what a food tour is all about." That being said, thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with others. You likely helped someone else discover the wonderful world of food tours!
