I felt like I should watch a Broadway show whilst I was visiting NYC from England. However, tickets are very expensive, especially considering that musicals are not something I'm particularly interested in.
So, I found Drunk Shakespeare, a 15 min walk from Broadway. It sounded like an interesting concept, and it was! Very unusual, funny contemporary references and personal performances with varying degrees of audience participation plus some actual Shakespeare thrown in. We were treated to The Scottish Play in a manner that would've been way more exciting to me as an English Literature student in being dragged to Stratford upon Avon to see this play performed.
A great evening out with lots of laughs, just my sense of humour (bad).
