Great adventure for everyone! This was my first rafting adventure and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. The water level was low and the rapids were tame, but that made it great for kids, older adults and first timers. The safety equipment was good, although you might want a bike helmet in rough conditions.

Ah yes, a bike helmet might work but we have these helmets designed specifically for white water rafting that are available upon request for Class 3 water and required on our Level 4 & 5 trips as well as for those in an inflatable kayak. Safety is no accident at Mountain Waters. Thank you for the review, Cheers!

We did the 2 hour rafting trip down the Lower Animas with our three teens on July 4th. The water was low and the river was crowded, but our guide, Carl, did a great job of steering us around rocks and people tubing. He taught us what to do and shared interesting info about the river, Durango, rafting, and other trips he thought we might like in the future. The trip was relaxing in some parts and invigorating in others. We all especially loved the rapids in the water park at the end. Highly recommend!

We had a good experience with this company--all of the guides are very helpful and concerned for everyone's safety. Unfortunately the water level was low because of the drought, but we still had fun.

We hope that by informing our guests of the drought conditions and resulting low water levels on the Animas River will help guests decide if this is the right trip for them. First timers, beginners and families are enjoying the float down the river on a hot summers day. Others choose the inflatable kayak for more challenge, and still others opt to head for the mountains on our guided 4x4 trips. Thank you for the review, Cheers!
