What if you could snorkel with the most graceful, beautiful creatures of the ocean?

Night Manta Snorkeling tour is the #1 rated activity on the Big Island for a reason. We take you out to one of two different manta sites with professional captain and crew to show you some of the Big Island's most majestic sights: manta rays. The ocean's most graceful giants are attracted by our custom-built LED light board and come right up to our boat to say hello. Then they swim around and around us, like they're showing us their favorite places in the sea before disappearing into the darkness again. It's truly incredible!

After we've had our fill of swimming with these beautiful creatures, the boat heads back towards shore while we stargaze on deck under the stars (you might even see shooting stars!). It's truly the ultimate Hawaiian adventure!

Amazing!! This was a magical experience. Wet suit tops are supplied and they really helped keep us warm in the water. The rays would swim inches from our bodies. You could hear squeals (thru the snorkels) from all the different groups visiting the spot.

I had an amazing experience with Hawaiian Adventures on their night manta snorkel! I’ve done this trip with other providers before, and they are by far the best I’ve gone with. Their crew was professional, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the mantas, ensuring both guest safety and a respectful, educational experience with these incredible creatures. Our guide, Pam, was absolutely fantastic—she made sure everyone felt comfortable in the water and helped us get the most out of the experience. Captain Andrew and crew member Olivia were also outstanding. Olivia’s pre-snorkel briefing was informative and engaging, setting the stage for an unforgettable encounter. What really stood out was how incredibly patient and reassuring the crew was with guests who were nervous about being in the water at night or apprehensive about being so close to the mantas. They took extra time to ensure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and confident, making the experience enjoyable for all. Being in the water with the mantas was nothing short of magical, and I truly appreciated Hawaiian Adventures’ commitment to responsible wildlife interactions. If you’re visiting the Big Island, this is the company to book with!

There are no words to describe this incredible experience! Honestly we were a little scared of snorkeling in open water AT NIGHT with manta rays, but I will absolutely be doing this again. The mantra rays were stunning! Such graceful and beautiful creatures. The crew was so kind, informative and made us feel so safe. Even the night boat ride was fun! A friend recommended we do this saying, "it was an experience that changed my life!" I absolutely agree and will be doing this again. Try it - its so worth it!!
