Looking for some whitewater while avoiding white-knuckle rapids? The 3 hour Upper Half Day trip is perfect for families, first-timers who are timid, or for those who aren’t strong swimmers – especially in June when we have high water. Enjoy fun rapids such as Hilarity Hole, Screaming Left, and Killer Fang. These rapids offer plenty of splashes and relatively easy navigation without the challenge of long rapids like the Mad Mile. This trip is packed with splashes and smiles!

We had a wonderful time with our family on the trip. The only reason we deducted one star was that our guide initially came across as very harsh. We were traveling with two very nervous girls, and when we were on the bus heading to our destination, the main guide mentioned that people have died on the river, emphasizing the importance of safety. When my daughter asked about that comment, instead of responding with compassion and empathy, the guide yelled at her, making her feel extremely uncomfortable about asking if people really do die on the river. I was tempted to intervene, but I decided to let it go, considering that our guide was young and probably doesn't have kids. Fortunately, she ended up warming up to us and making the trip enjoyable for all. In the future, when dealing with younger kids, it would be beneficial for the guide to know how to communicate with them when they are scared. Apart from that, it was a great experience. I would recommend buying water shoes before going, as the ones provided for the trip were very worn and smelled. Despite this, we made amazing memories and would definitely do it again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review. I truly apologize that the guide was initially harsh and did not comfort the younger ones in your group...We do use the same safety talk for all our trips whether it is class 1 or class 4 because the risks involved with rafting remain no matter the trip. But our guides should have addressed it more appropriately. We will be passing this to the raft managers to address to all staff, so thank you for letting us know. I am glad you all had a good time nonetheless.

Wonderful, fun, exciting, relaxing, and all around amazing! Mark and I decided to head to the Gallatin over the holiday weekend which was the perfect choice for us. From start to finish everything went well. The staff is courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and fun. Stevie was our guide and she did not disappoint. I will request her next time we go and I want to come when the water is a little higher. All around wonderful experience! It is a great trip for family, friends, couples or just you!!..

We had an unforgettable experience with Mountain White Water Rafting! From start to finish, the adventure was well-organized, exciting, and safe.
