Lucas was a great instructor, the only part that sucked was the number of people surfing in the same spot. Of course that has nothing to do with the lesson, and the ocean is open to all, but it was a little annoying and scary surfing on top of people (literally). I would recommend this company and highly suggest surfing with Lucas! We will do it again for sure when we are back in Maui. Mahalo!

Aloha Melissa, Thank you so much for the review and for sharing your experience with others! We are so happy you guys had a great time surfing with Lucas! In regards to the number of people surfing in the same spot… yes!…there are times when all the surf breaks on island can get busy in the water. This is one of the reasons why we always recommend the early morning time slots because it’s really nice to get in the water before the crowds…. especially during peak seasons (spring, summer, and winter breaks). The conditions and crowds change daily based on the tide and swell on that day. Smaller swells on a high tide can make surfers start to condense to one area… whereas big swells which work on any tide really space everyone out. The ocean is always changing! If you guys decide to surf again when you are back on Maui… let us know… we’d love to get you in the water again! Thank you SO much for booking and surfing with us…. and until next time… A Hui Ho! What a fabulous time we had! Eddie is an amazing and patient teacher. He explained things well, taught us good technique, and we were both able to get up and surf that day! Not something I thought I could do but with Eddie's help we both did it. Super fun and now we have a new skill. Highly recommend!

My two daughters took the semi-private lessons and loved every part of it. Both of them were super successful at it and ended the lesson surfing successfully. It was the best way to learn surfing in Maui.
