Your PRIVATE/SEMI-PRIVATE sailboat charter is hosted by Captain Dan, a licensed captain with 20 years of local sailing experience. Call to make arrangements for a private sail. Beginning 4/15/2021 --2 passengers bookings will be semi Private. 4 to 6 passengers booking will be a private group

You will board the "Wind Pirate", a very comfortable 40ft sailboat, from a private residence with parking. Complimentary bottled water & ice, as well as cups, plates and a fresh water shower are provided. You are welcome to bring food and beverage of your choice as yacht has refrigeration.

Your Sailing Charter begins and ends two miles from Fort Lauderdale Beach. You will cruise down the historic Fort Lauderdale New River through Downtown. You will pass millionaires row, mega yachts and Port Everglades set sail in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The Captain is always happy to discuss with you various sailing options to design your perfect day.

A Day on the Water

Your charter will begin and end at a private residence. We will board with group pictures to remember your day. Depending on the tour selected, our Sailing Charters are four hours or two-hours. Your host will be Captain Dan, a licensed boat captain with over 20 years of local sailing experience. You will be provided a variety of options based on your groups’ preference and weather. We welcome Anniversaries, Birthday Parties, Bachelor and Bachelorette wedding parties, Engagement experience, Picnics, sunset date nights or just chilling. You may want to ride the bow in a bean bag chair and sip a cocktails, sail in the Atlantic Ocean, or swim and snorkel. You may want to drive the boat under sail and learn how to sail. The day belongs to you. The sailboat is well equipped will all necessary safety equipment; Your Safety is our responsibility.

I highly recommend Captain Dan’s sailboat excursion. It was the highlight of our Fort Lauderdale trip. After our safety briefing our private party of 5, we stowed our snacks and refreshments in the galley and cast off the dock. We started motoring for about 30 minutes through the winding river and canals making our way to the warm ocean. It was a relaxing trip as some of us hung out in the cockpit and others relaxed in Captain Dan’s oversized bean-bag chairs strategically placed on the deck near the bow. It gave everyone a chance to see the sites including countless yachts, boaters and numerous drawbridges that rose at the Captain’s request. When we reached the ocean, the captain raised the sails and cut the engine as the Jenneau 42 began gliding across the waves. It was a great experience as some of us helped with tacking and pulling in the sheets. When we reached our sea destination Captain Dan slowed the yacht where the water was warm, crystal clear and about 25 feet deep. We eagerly entered the water, some of us with floaties, others with snorkles (provided by the Captain) while others just drifted lazily from a tether. Later as we made our way back, we all took our positions while snacking and enjoying some adult beverages. Once again, we took in the sites as we made our way back. Wow – you have to try this!

Me and my 3 sisters all in our 40’’s went on this excursion with Captain Dan. The sail was amazing. We had so much fun. I cannot remember the last time I have been so relaxed. Highly recommend!!! Captain Dan! You rock!!
