Enjoy this 2-hour guided adventure on a double-deck power catamaran to watch the whales in their natural habitat. Depending on the whales’ behavior during your whale watching trip, you may see the whales slapping the surface with pectoral fins (their very long side fins), flukes (the tail), the peduncle (the strong muscles attaching the tail to the rest of the body) and the breach, this is when the whale rises completely out of the water and crashes down again.

Have been on a lot of whale watches in Maui and this was one of the better ones. The crew was nice and the whales were very active.

The boat captain seamed as if he didn't like his job. He was only interested in hanging around the harbor, disturbing mothers with new baby cave whales. From one to the next. Uninterested in finding more active whales. Having come to Maui for the past 20yrs, strictly during whale season, I have experienced many many whale watching trips. If whales are scarce, no problem, but watching them breech in the near distance, and this captains unwillingness to investigate left me very disappointed with the experience. Two days later with a different charter we viewed many whales, with varying activity levels. It was a wonderful experience! The crew of the Quicksilver were great, but this particular captain needs much more experience to be a successful Maui whale watching captain.
