Our family of 6 (2 parents and our sons age 13, 17, 21, 23) did the Full Day rafting trip last week. This was our first time to do river rafting and were looking forward to this being the highlight of our vacation. We were impressed with the TAC check in and prep, the bus ride and the friendly and helpful people working there. The scenery was beautiful. What was a great disappointment for us and something we are still talking about is how our guide was rude to us many times through out the trip. For some reason she did not jive with us and pretty much told us we were really bad at this activity. It was uncomfortable for about half of our day trip. We even overheard her talking negatively about us to other guides during the lunch. We are a nice, fun, friendly family .. decently athletic, fit and smart so was surprised that we were being scolded so many times for being so horrible. Maybe she was having a bad day,. At one point, my husband was about to say forget it and said let us out here if you think we are so bad! None of us fell out or over turn (like she said we would do), made it down the river just fine ... before the other 3 rafts, I might add. The other rafts/guides/families were all joking, high-fiving, laughing through out the trip .. not us! We did enjoy the beautiful scenery, the TAC guides did do a good job with the lunch and entertaining everyone on the bus ride and during the trip. We are looking forward to another river rafting trip in the future but hopefully with a guide that likes us.
