Full-Day Mesa Verde Discovery Tour

It’s no question that locals and past visitors consider Mesa Verde National Park a must-visit. It allows us a rare opportunity to experience preserved North American history before European contact. Joining a Mild to Wild guide ensures guests will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of authentic Southwestern culture.

Our Full Day Discovery Tour will show off this outdoor museum with plenty of insight into the ancient indigenous culture, the history of the Park, and more. It’s the best way to get the most out of a day at Mesa Verde.

Our tour vehicles are comfortable, air conditioned, and come with speakers to help you hear your guide's interp throughout the drive.

*Please note that Cliff Palace tickets sell out quickly, we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to ensure we have tickets.

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • You must bring your own car seats for children who require them. CO Car Seat Law states that children up to 8 years old must be in an appropriate car seat.
  • Sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, and water are recommended.
  • Dress in layers. Summer is cool in the morning and hot by the afternoon. Bring a warm coat, hat, and gloves for fall, winter, and spring.
  • Part of the tour may include climbing 10 ft. ladders made of Tree Trunks. Not all travelers are required to participate in this part but this is required in order to exit Cliff Palace

The Mesa Verde Discovery Tour was beyond amazing and our guide Doug made it extra special. There were 14 of us from ages 7 to 72 and we all loved every moment of it. The beauty and awe is hard to describe in words and pictures. This was our first time to Durango and it won't be our last. We also went on the Bus ride up/Train back Silverton trip and that was an awesome adventure too thanks to Steve our guide. I would highly recommend both of these adventures. We feel like we had the best guides who both went the extra mile to make sure we had fun and we were educated. They answered all thousand of our questions. Thanks Mild to Wild for giving our family the best family vacation and helping us to make memories that will last a lifetime. We look forward to future adventures with you.

This tour was amazing! Our tour guide went above and beyond to make sure our trip was one of a kind. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. I would also recommend this company for any other sightseeing tours around the area. Their customer service is excellent.

My 16 year old nephew was visiting. I booked this trip because he likes history. Our guide Jay was excellent. He gave us a lot of interesting information about Mesa Verde and kept us very entertained.
